Just the boys..........

These 3 boys are very special to me and I was very happy when their mother called and asked If I could do their pictures!  It is amazing how all 3 of them are soo different.  I think these pictures captured each of their unique personalities.  The used to baby-sit all of them before my photography business. (mainly the older two) I kept the oldest for 6yrs. part-time and the middle was the last of the kiddos that I had in my home. Their mother had a role to play in me being confident enough to move forward with my photography. I remember my family going with their family to their lake house once yrs. ago.  I had an old cannon film camera just meant to capture a few snapshots.  I bought a roll of black and white film and took pics of everyone...mostly candid.  My son caught his first fish that day!  I will always cherish those pictures because when I got them developed I shared some copies with them and everyone was freaking out and saying, "these are amazing"  and  "you are really good at taking pictures"  I thought nothing of it but it was fun so I started playing with black and white film and here I am today.  I never even thought about photography before that weekend.  God is good!!  Anyways I miss having the kids around but God has his plan for my life and I am glad to have the outlet for my artistic energy.

A beautiful wedding.....

I had no clue that you could be driving down the highway in Texas and the trees could suddenly go from short and stout to tall and wonderful!  This wedding was in East Texas and was very lovely.  This is Whitney and Jim.  They are super sweet and their wedding made for some great pictures! I know that I am posting a lot but she has been super patient and I just wanted to give her and her dear hubby a peak at what is to come!

Wonderful couple...young and care free.  I thought that they were really easy to photograph.  I will be shooting her bridals and their wedding soon also!  Looking forward to it!

these two kids...........

are absolutely wonderful!  I cannot explain the way that my spirit connected with them.  It was just one of those easy-going natural shoots that I feel turned out more than perfect.  The little girl had the most stunning red hair and freckles...she was gorgeous.  And the adorable little boy was so cool.  He was independent had so much personality, you should have heard some of the stuff he was singing while strumming his guitar.  It was like photographing a mini Johnny Cash!! What a fun afternoon....these types of shoots keep me coming back for more.

i know that it has been a while....

and it will take me a while to catch up...man I need an amazing assistant!!  This is Jackson and his precious momma and sister.  I took his senior pics last fall and mom loved them so much that she wanted some of all of them.  The sibling chemistry was so precious.  It is lovely to see brother and sister so sweet with each other.  And the mom....wow...she is one pretty lady and I know she is proud of her two wonderful kids. 

i will slowly try to catch everyone up on all of my sessions that I have yet to post....please be patient.

o.k. so I have not had a post up in a while....sorry about that!  I am working on getting caught up.  What a busy season this has been and my mother had surgery to make things even more complicated.  I will be spending lots of time with her during her recovery which looks to be about 2 1/2 months long.  I enjoy listening to her and washing her night gowns...she is soo precious!!

Anyways I was doing some alone time with God and came across a encouraging word and wanted to share:

But the path of the just is like the shining sun that shines ever brighter unto the perfect day.  Proverbs 4:18

The bible is so amazing and I really enjoy reading proverbs....it is like the best poetry and emotional medicine all in one.

Between shoots, the hospital, ballet, cleaning, taking care of boo boos and all the other wonderful chaos that I seem to survive I am still alive and ready for a very successful year!  I am loving my brides, families and seniors and looking forward to watching them grow.  So keep it coming my dear clients!

oh how I love senior pictures and I always have to post a lot of them because they are always soo great!  This girl was no exception.  She was absolutely adorable and very photogenic.  She was also very sweet and fun to be around...always love these types of shoots when I really connect with the person be photographed.

Engagements/Family

I could not resist a sneak peak of this little one.  I took engagements of his dad and soon to be precious step-mother and he tagged along and totally won my heart!  My family and I will be going to Destin, Fl. this summer to join them at their wedding.  My first destination wedding!!!  yay!!!  (well at least out of the state travel destination wedding)  We are very excited.

This my friends is one of my dearest BFF's little sisters.  She is absolutely adorable and the camera likes her and her man Brian.  I will be shooting their wedding next year!  I am so excited to be the lucky one that she chose to capture these very special times in their lives!  Again I had a very difficult time choosing what to post so i may have picked to many...but....oh well.
